Project 52 - Week 28

This past week was another fun but busy one.

We bought a new (to us) van ...
It is a 2011 Kia Sedona.  I wasn't crazy about the fact that it is blue since my last van was blue, but I still love it.  It has lots of fun features - like a remote start.  That will come in handy this winter!

Nick went with me to the bank to take the money out of savings.  He was so excited, he just had to hold the cash.  And let me take a cell phone pic of him with it.  :)

We didn't have it for long though because we drove to the car dealership and handed it over.

We bought Nick a new sleeping bag so he could go to camp (Wednesday thru today).  So all 3 kids decided to camp out on the living room floor and watch a movie.  They weren't thrilled about me taking their picture.

It was really strange not having Nick here for that length of time. He's been on sleepovers before, but never for 5 days!  Alex didn't have anyone to fight with.  But I think they've more than made up for it since we picked Nick up this morning.  :)

And last, we had some nasty storms here on Wednesday.  We turned off both laptops - since the electricity was off and on for a while - and played games at the dining room table ... Go Fish, UNO, and Scrabble.  Keira noticed how pretty the sky was after the storms so we went out to take some pictures.

A short while later, I fired the laptop back up and saw a bunch of photos on facebook of a gorgeous rainbow that apparently everyone in our area saw but us.  We headed west toward the sunset and didn't even bother to look east.  :(

It is incredibly HOT here today.  And humid.  And I have a photo shoot tonight.  I'll be melting by the time we are done.  :)  Good thing a friend invited us over to swim!  We'll be taking advantage of that this evening!

Hope you have a great week!

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't see the rainbow either. :-(

WOW- congrats on the new van. That's always nice & the remote start will definitely be nice come winter. I know my hubs has been wanting to install one on his duty truck since it parks outside.
