Project 52 - Week 37

So, yeah, I missed week 36.  I mean, I didn't miss the week.  I lived the week.  I just missed posting about it.  Life just works that way sometimes.  Moving on.  :)

Last week was interesting, to say the least.  We had our well fixed so we can have water again.  Yay!  I went with a friend to check out a location where she wants to have family pictures taken.  Our Wednesday night kids' class started back up and was loads of fun.  Nick broke a toe.  I went to craft night at another friend's house.  We had our summer reading ice cream party at school.  And gave away three Kindle Fires to three very happy readers.  Keira had another violin lesson before her tryout for chairs.  And I took my sister-in-law's pictures with her girls.  Whew!  All of that on top of the normal grocery shopping, laundry (yes, we can do laundry at home again!), helping with homework, and preparing meals (although we did get pizza on Thursday after spending 2 hours in the FastER Care).  Here are just a couple photos from last week ...

The boys would have loved to stay home from school on Tuesday to watch the well driller guys do their thing.  The big drilling truck was very exciting to them.  However, I made them go to school.  I'm such a mean mom sometimes.  :)  (Please ignore how filthy my windows look.  It is really hard to keep windows clean when little fingers and faces are pressed up against them all the time.)

I forgot to mention that on Friday I decided to give myself bangs.  My hair is making me a bit crazy but I'm not ready to get it all cut off to donate just yet.  So instead I trimmed the front.  (Just a note - self portraits are not my thing).

Today I am not-so-patiently waiting for the UPS man to arrive with an exciting package for me.  I'll share more about that later in the week.  And Keira is sick and stayed home from school.  Hoping she feels better before her birthday on Saturday!  My girl is turning 15.  How in the world did that happen?!?!  She's already talking about learning how to drive and taking driver education courses.  Yikes!  Also I get to take Nick to see the orthopedic surgeon about his toe this afternoon.  I don't expect them to do anything but wrap it and let it heal on its own, but we still need to go, I guess.

Before you go, be sure to check out my giveaway for the children's book, Bash and the Pirate Pig.  All you need to do is comment to enter.  Easy peasy!

Hope you are having a fabulous day!  And that you have a wonderful week!

You have had a busy week! Hope things smooth out a but and that the broken toe is not too troublesome in recovery. I think your bangs look great!

Love that window picture. I bet the boys were enthralled and would have loved to stay home to watch but I would have sent them to school too ;0) My oldest, Tyler is turning 15 on Monday so our kids are super close in age. He's all excited about driving soon too. We'll be having a birthday party for him Saturday at the race tracks! LOL!
